Four people, including a Reading woman, were killed in two chain-reaction crashes involving a total of nine vehicles Tuesday night along Interstate 78 in Berks County, state police at Hamburg said Wednesday. Smith was later pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy with the Berks County coroners office. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Berks County Deputy Coroner Dylan Spang.
